Charity Fund Raising

Every year following our AGM in November, the newly elected Committee choose a Nominated Charity for fundraising for the year ahead.  

The fundraising may comprise one or two big events or a number of smaller events held throughout the year and usually include a Charity Day and a Race Night.

We have decided to continue fundraising for the same local charity as last year - Dalgety Bay Day Centre as our main charity with 2nd Dalgety Bay Ranger Guides as our secondary charity.

The Dalgety Bay Day Care Centre is a local voluntary organisation which promotes and helps the wellbeing of our senior citizens within Dalgety Bay and the surrounding area. This involves transporting members to and from their home to our comfortable and welcoming Day Centre by their own minibus. Morning and afternoon tea/coffee with cake and biscuits and a hot lunch are provided. They offer a friendly welcoming day out, meeting friends old and new alike with various planned activities for entertainment.

Rangers are part of the Girl Guiding Framework where 14-18 year old girls can make new friends in an open and relaxed space, meet up and go on trips at home and abroad, help make a difference to the things they care about. It’s the freedom to be more independent, earn qualifications, badges, awards and to do what makes them happy.
