HATS & INFORMAL BOWLING

Hat games are a great way for new members to integrate and meet everyone.  They are also a very useful learning tool because they provide a safe environment for you to play in different positions, discover the rules and put them into practice, learn how to measure and above all, ask questions about the game to the more experienced members.

But our hats are not just for new members as we understand that some members are not interested in bowling competitively and the hat is a great social game.

We hold 3 fun friendly hat games every week - there is no charge for hat games.

Tuesdays and Fridays are evening hats - start times vary (look out for emails giving details) but generally between 5pm and 6pm with sign-in required 15 minutes prior.

Just for fun, we keep the scorecards from the Friday night hat and generate a league table - 3 points for a win, 2 for a draw and 1 for turning up.

Thursday morning hats start at 10am with sign-in required by 9.45am and there is a break mid way for a hot cuppa and a biscuit/cake (small charge if you take the beverage).

ANNUAL KNOCKOUT COMPETITIONS

Our annual knockout competetions are detailed below.

Each round must be played by the date on the competition sheet (unless prior permission has been granted by the Ties Committee for an extension).

Bowlers are reminded that it is the responsibility of the first drawn name on the sheet to contact the opposition to organise the tie and arrange a marker where required (i.e. for singles ties).
